Homemade Tang Yuan
On the Road AGAIN (KL)......
On the Road AGAIN (Genting)......
On the Road AGAIN (Ipoh)......
We went on a road trip AGAIN....
13 December '06 till 21 December '06
Singapore-Johor-Ipoh-Genting-KL-Johor-Singapore
BUT, the sad news was.... We didn't take much pictures,
as mummy's camera decided that it came his time to retire!!
(that darn camera broke down on us in the beginning of the trip!!
lucky, we had mummy's sony ericcson phone camera
(k800i) to "tong" for the rest of the trip.)
Sigh... so i guess this blog will be picture-less for quite sometime...
till we get a good deal and a perfect camera!!
We picked up grandma from JB,
and poor daddy had to drive 6 hours all the way to Ipoh....
Despite the temptation of all the sleepyheads sleeping in the passenger seats....
Daddy drove on and on till we reach Ipoh.....
Daddy, you beri tok gong leh!!
A CUT ABOVE THE REST
Apart from eating, and eating and eating those fabulous food found in Ipoh,
One other thing you have to do is to have a haircut!!
NO KIDDING!! That is always on daddy's TO DO list in Ipoh.....
We visited daddy's favourite hairstylist Andrew Ong....
As usual, Andrew gave daddy a GREAT leng chai haircut.....
Mummy thought that it is about time for my haircut as well....
as everyone on the streets refered me as jie jie or mei mei,
despite mummy's great effort to dress me in BLUE coloured clothings and PANTS!!
BUT, since my previous 3 haircut were terrible experiences for me.....
it gave mummy the jitters to put on the GREEN light for another haircut.....
Finally, mummy gave Uncle Andrew the go ahead to make me
a handsome boy i once was
from my messy, untidy long hair....
Uncle Andrew asked" Do you prefer layering or crew cut?!?"
"Layering!!" my mummy exclaimed, "We can save all the crew cut for army!!"
You wanna know how it went?!?
I was chuckling throughout the haircut...
And now I look as charming as daddy....
Thumbs up Uncle Andrew!!

My First Chinese Wedding Dinner
Mummy promised that we are going to have good FOOD and good FUN.....
Mummy is a little nervous as this is the first time I am attending a 10 course *ahem* long winded chinese wedding dinner....She is afraid that I might fuss after the first course and demand to be carried round or worst still demand to run around the banquet!!
Well, it wasn't as terrible as what mummy has imagined. At least I stick my butt to the high chair till the second or third course of dinner. The most scary part of the dinner was when everybody stood up and shouted Yarrrrrmmmmm Seeeennnnng.... I just stayed butt stuck down on my high chair, seeing everybody bringing up their drinking glasses, screaming.... Yarrrrrrmmmm Seeeennnnnng... They did it not once, not twice, but three times.... I was extremly puzzled!! I even got a nightmare when I got home.... Mummy sys that we are staying away from wedding dinner for quite some time..... (",)

Then the plcenta will form and take over the job,
flitering junk food mummy eats, so that the baby gets all the nutrients... (",)
Such a heart warming sight.....

Mid-Autumn Festival (ä¸ç§‹èŠ‚)
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the two most important holidays in the Lunar calendar, and is a legal holiday in several countries. Farmers celebrate the end of the summer harvesting season on this date.
Traditionally, on this day, Asian family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together. Brightly lit lanterns are often carried around by children." -Wikipedia
Mummy's Thoughts:
*looking at a small group of children having fun with lanterns, light sticks & sparkles* Isn't it so nice that such traditions are still passed down?!? It's heartwarming to see families bringing their children out with lanterns and big wide smiles across their kiddo's face....
I clearly remembered when I was very much younger.... The BEST mid-autumn festivals were celebrated with my cousins; Yen Jie Jie, Ah Pei, and Ah Lu.... We will climb onto the tall tower in the playground to get the best view of the celebrations organised by the RC. Without fail, every year, there will be this terrible competition on who can eat the most mooncake in a limited amount of time.... You'll see super UNGLAM people stuffing mooncakes into their mouth!! I always thought, " GOD, they better not choke on mooncake and die from it!!" Can you imagine explaining to St. Peters at the Pearly Gates of Heaven that you choked on mooncake and ended up there?!? I am sure, he'll tell him that he's lying and send him back to HELL!! Rahahahahaha.... With all our candles, we stick them one by one patiently onto the tower's rails.... and lighted them up. They all look so beautiful, just like ballerinas dancing under the clear moonlight.... We carried flimsy paper lanterns, we laughed and giggled the night away without worries....

Express Travel Pte Ltd
I called it Express Travel Pte Ltd.....
Daddy had 3 days off from work...
We (this time round we brought grandma along.....)
travelled from Singapore to Johor Bahru,
Johor Bahru to KL,
KL to Ipoh,
and from Ipoh to Singapore....
Isn't that alot to accomplish in 3 days?!?
I am so proud of you daddy!!
We went up to KL to visit our new baby cousin; Mikki.
Isn't she such a sweetie?!?
*nudge* daddy, I also want a baby brother or sister to play with!!
These pictures were taken at Restaurant 1919, Ipoh Garden East, Ipoh.
(Directly opposite Tesco)
This yummy eatery is recommended by yi ku ma....
The atmosphere is nice, it throws you back in time, the food is okay....
BUT, the service is EXCELLANT! You should go try it for yourself.....
good food + good company + good service = a happy hiroshi
Isn't that a perfect equation?!?
That's me looking exhuasted from the Express Travel holiday.
I am sleeping on my make shift bed;
Blankies on the floor board of Uncle Chong's spacious Serena car....
Night night, Sleep tight, Dun let the blankie bugs bite.....
I am already looking forward about my next travel adventures!
Oh, before I forget. Happy Childrens' Day!
May all the children in the world live in peace and harmony.
Let there be no sorrows, no worries and no pain.....
Only laughters of carefree children flooding up the streets.....
