A Folder FULL of Surprises.....

I brought home a folder of surprises for mummy.....
It's a collections of art & craft work
that I have been doing in school
(1) That's a RED elephant. Dun ask me why it is red.... I really got no idea!!
(2) That's the back of a paper plate, with colourful stamps made from lady's finger.... my hand print..... and a very touching massage:
You may find sticky marks everywhere now,
But I will soon be grown up.
And you may need this reminder of me
when I was small.....
(3) That's just simple colourful stamps made from lady's finger.....
(4) Lastly, the folder of surprises!!

BIG DAY: First Day At School

It's my BIG DAY!!
My FIRST DAY at school....
Well, it didn't go all so bad after all....

I woke up at 7am....
Took my milk, then mummy dressed me up for this special day!!
We went downstairs to wait for my school bus....
It arrived at 8.20am....
There were many little children, just like myself...
Exceptionally well behaved and strapped into their seats....
As barney was performing up front!!
(kekekeke... Barney is a all time favourite i guess!!)

9am: Assembly.... OMG.... This assembly thing is so formal!! All the gor gor and jie jie stood in neat rows singing the national anthem and reciting the pledge!! And you know what?!? They can even do it in Mandarin!! Steady bom pi pi leh!! We even got to sing the school song..... Well, I was not even bothered by it.... I was pushing a toy truck, weaving through all the neat rows of students!! (mummy & daddy: *shake head*)

Then it was music and movement class.... The teachers and EVEN the principal were swaying to some really cool songs with funky dance steps and move.... Kekekeke... I kinda like this.... I've picked up a few nice moves along the way!! Any pretty girls wanna partner me next time?!?

Gym play was next....

Well, as you can see....
This was my favourite part of the programme....
I kept going up and down the slope,
although it was clearly not my turn yet!!
(daddy & mummy: *shake head*)
We even get to bounce on a trampoline.....
(Mummy did not get a good picture on that one!!)

Then we all went into our respective class rooms.....

Mine pretty much look like a playroom with TOYS galore!!
Although i was the newbie....
And the youngest in the group....
All the jie jie and gor gor were very helpful...
And we made friends very quickly....

INDEPENDENCE DAY!!
This was when mummy and daddy decides to sneak out of the center to have a well deserved meal....
Something that mummy has been craving for months.... JALAN KAYU roti prata!!
And even spent some COUPLE TIME....
It has been 17 odd months when ME aka the teaspoon came in between them....
Mummy prefer to call me the teaspoon as i prefer to snuggle up in between mummy and daddy during bedtime!! Oh well.... They are not actually complaining.... We love BED TIME where we all get to snuggle up together!! With mei mei aka the Espresso spoon on the way.... You can expect a CROWD on the bed!! kekekekeeke....

This was what I did when they were away....
A nice red flower for Mother's Day which is a week away.... The teacher helped me on this project....
First i put my hand on some red paint....
Press my hand on a piece of paper....
Wait for it to dry up....
Cut out the hand print....
Then roll it around a straw and staple it....
and then VOILA....
A nice nice flower for mummy...
Mummy was quite pleased with my project!

I started to get drowsy and sleepy from the medication
I've been taking for my cough and flu....
I started looking around for mummy and daddy....
BUT, there were no where to be found!!
I started to FUSS and CRY....
The teachers were very patient....
She carried me, rock me, and sang to me....
It sort if clam me down for a little while
till mummy and daddy got back....

I burst up into tears when i saw mummy....
daddy and mummy hugged me and pat me to bed.....
I totally missed out the delicious lunch time,
which was macaroni chicken soup...
and banana for dessert
as I was STILL sleeping soundly....

I got up just in time to go home!!
So up the school bus I went....
and Barney was on the same ride home too!!
It's going to be another brand new day at school tomorrow...
Let's just hope that it will be a BETTER day!!

And Sophia currently weights 1.4kg....
The bad news is......
We still could not get a good ultra sound picture
showing our princess face!!
Oh boy, Oh boy.... She's really SHY!!

Sophia is currently still in a breech position....
And mummy's weights *drum rolls* 64.5kg.....
Must be all the good food in Ipoh!! (Yummy!!)

Next check up is in 2 weeks time....

There was a blood donation drive...
WOW... I didn't know that
by donating 500ml of blood you can save 3 lives?!?

Shopping FEVER in Shanghai.....

Shanghai: 28/03/07 till 30/03/07
This was the well deserved shopping trip
mummy has been looking forward to....

Day 1 (28/03/07):
We went to Auntie Candy's place for dinner....
The apartment was cozy and nice....
Macham showroom flat like that woh!!
I even get to meet my long lost friend, Becky.....
Mummy finally got her Twin Savvy Combi Pram.....
This pram is good for my shopaholic mummy
when Sophia mei mei comes along!!
At the mean time... Becky and myself had a good time in it.....

Becky & Me on our brand new
Twin Savvy Combi Pram!!

Day 2 (29/03/07):
The day started with local food....
mushroom, steam egg and meat patty kway tiao....
It wasn't anything spectacular!!

We made our way to the train station (LouShanGuan Road station)....
It was the beginning of our shopping adventure....
And our first time on a Chinese subway ....
Thank God that there was no one spitting!!!
We travelled all the way to Shanghai Science & Technology Museum Station....
There was a underground air conditioned huge shopping maze....
Bags, clothes, shoes, household deco but very little children clothing.....
It reminded mummy very much of the old Xiang Yang Market
that she used to go to.... (when she still could fit into a kebaya!!)

We then proceeded on to NiHong Market at PuAn Road....
This time round on a cab....
(it was a breeze...
except that the taxi driver didn't understand where mummy wanted to go....
Mummy's Mandarin must be terrible!!
She had to SOS Auntie Candy to SAVE her!! Rahahahahaha.....)
Now this is mummy's shopping heaven!!
It was a huge market selling all children stuffs!!
A bit messy though.... But it was all worth it!!

Within 6 hours of shopping, mummy snared
23 pieces of children clothes....
The loot could have been more....
if not for all the winter clothing still on display.
which are not so suitable for our climax in Singapore.....

Mummy was SUPER SATISFIED with her loot....
She is even considering making it into an annual shopping trip!!
kekekekeke... Retail Therapy!! It works all the time!!

Then we went over to Auntie Candy's place to stay for a night.....

FUN @ the Playground @ Auntie Candy's place

Becky & Me in the Elevator

Becky & Me Caught in bed

Hahahaha.... Nothing R-rated....
Although I was caught in bed naked with Becky...
Seriously!!
This was what we were doing.....
Having a wacky time... Gymboree on BED!!

Day 3: HOME SWEET HOME!

Sophia @ 28 weeks

Spohia is finally 28 weeks old....
That translate to mummy being 7 months pregnant!!
The begining of the third and FINAL trimester!!

Mummy is currently 62kg, and Sophia is ONLY 1.1kg.....
Mummy, see what has all your sinful cravings done to your weight gain?!?

We still could not get a good picture of Sophia's ultra scan!!
She presented top of her HEAD again!!
Sigh..... She is currently still in a breech position....
(BUTT down position...)
and mummy still has a low lying placenta
and a infection too..... (yucks!!)
Mummy is on a course of antibiotics...
Let's just hope that the infection will go away real soon!!

The interval of the next consultation will be 1 weeks shorter....
so therefore, the doctor will be seeing mummy in 3 weeks time....
instead of 4 weeks in the past 7 months.....
Let's just pray and hope that our shy princess will show us her cute little baby face....

New Swimming Trunk @ 16 months.....

How's my flashy NEW swimming trunk?!?
Stylo-Milo, isn't it?!?
Mummy got me this swimming trunk from a kiddy store at Punggol Plaza....
I've got not much complaint about how it look,
except that i need to deposit little more BABY FATS to fill up the butt area!!

Looking at my old swimwear,
I've notice how fast I grew in the past 16 months....
Up till date, I can
show affection to mummy by kissing her on the lips
( i kissed her 6 times on that one day and has never done it ever since.....
daddy blamed it on mummy's bad breath....)
I could do flying kisses with loud smooching sound
(errr....only applies to pretty girls)
I could sign my own version of the word "train"
(mummy has been dying for me to communicate....
either by signing or talking....
she was esctastic when i repetitively signed the word "train" when I see one...)
-I am also trying to self feed,
I could feed myself mummy's favourite McDonald hotcakes with a fork!
(But, mummy is quite sceptical about letting me mess up
the dining table and floor at home....
Sigh.... Mummy, if you are so sceptical....
How am I suppose to perfect my self feeding skills?!?)
Oh also, I've learnt to throw a tantrum fits when things do not go my way....
Mummy calls me a "Wayang KING"
(mummy and daddy are not abit impressed by it....
they IGNORED me totally!! Arrgh....)

My Favourite Breakfast....

Everytime mummy goes to Poungol Plaza to do her marketing....
OR *ahem* just plain walking around aimlessly....
so that we can enjoy the FREE aircon
to get away from the freaking HOT weather recently....
Save the enviroment mah.....
(*ahem* in actual fact.... save eletrical bills lah....)
Mummy will definately buy waffle from the bakery at level one....
I love it..... I can finish 3/4 of the waffle.....
Yummy!! Wanna join me?!?

Potential Ah Beng in the making....

AH BENG:
An unsophisticated Chinese boy, usually Hokkien. Stereotypically, he speaks gutter hokkien and likes spiky, moussed hair and accessories such as handphones or pagers, all of which are conspicuously displayed.

Very Chao Ah Beng hor?!?
BUT hor, Ah Beng all very Charming
one leh... Handsome boh?!?
Any pretty girls dating me tonight?!?

Sophia @ 24 Weeks

Apart from growing BIGGER and HEAVIER.....
(and going ooh... and arr... over PINK clothings.....)
there was no significant changes in mummy's life.....

Sophia is finally 24 weeks old!!
Mummy says that we can start our countdown to receiving her.....
14 more weeks to go.....
(Since mummy has to go for another cesarean birth....
the earliest time Sophia could meet us was at 38 weeks.....)

We were at the doctor's clinic today....
All is well with Sophia....
Except that she wasn't that cooperative.....
We could only see the top view of her HEAD!!
(#*^%##*%... hopefully, we can get a better scan picture in our next visit.....)
She currently weights 800g....
and mummy weights a whopping 58.6kg!!
(Think mummy's pre-pregnancy weight was 52kg or something like that....)

You'll always be.... My Valentine....

It's finally the time of the year,
when the florist ROB you of what you have
in broad daylight,
so that you can afford to buy a nice bunch of roses
for your love ones....
Fancy restaurants over change you for your dinner
because of additional candles and roses laid on your table,
which they call the mood setters.....
(Not to mention...
how early you had to call in advance to book for a place......
If not, You'll be Qing like idiots with the rest of the people
outside the restaurants.....
Just to get into the mood..... and OUCH... it's not easy on the wallet either!!)
The official day when men are EXTRA romantic.....
(I wonder what happens to the rest of the rest of the 364 day in the year?!?)
The great lenghts men would go to make this day a little more special...
A little more sugar coated.....
so that their wives or girlfriends feels that they are floating on cloud 9.....
It's Valentine's Day.....

A Mother's Valentine's day.....
I realise that life is much more than romantic roses and fancy restaurant....
Life is appreciating everyone you love around you....
especially when they are still alive....
(I'll like to thank the driver in LA who shared her personal real life story with us.....)
Presents and fancy dinners are no longer the TOP Priority on Valentines' Day....
Being happy, TOGETHER as a family is!!

Nothing else matters anymore....
The best gift I had this year is
having a wonderful husband who supports my decision to be a SAHM....
(In fact... I have a very supportive husband...
who supports my every decision.....)
a charming son, Hiroshi.....
and a beautiful daughter, Sophia.....
What more can I ask for?!?

Thank you GOD....
You made my life richer in so many ways!!

I only want to hold your hands and grow old together....
(I know i look kinda bad when i grow old.....
I've enclosed a sample picture.....
so that you can get used to me growing old.....)
Watch our kids grow and be grandparents....

I'll love you and the kids with all I have.....
Will you still love me tomorrow?!?

Happy Valentine' Day!!

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
no disease that enough love will not heal;
no door that enough love will not open;
no gulf that enough love will not bridge;
no wall that enough love will not throw down;
no sin that enough love will not redeem...
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble;
how hopeless the outlook; how muddled the tangle; how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
If only you could love enough you would be
the happiest and most powerful being in the world...

Baby On The Way @ 20 weeks.....

Today is the BIG day.....
Mummy has to go for a detail scan to make sure that
baby on the way is growing healthy!!
(*ahem* And also to find out the gender of the baby.....)

All went well, baby on the way is a GIRL....
and mummy and daddy have decided to name her Sophia....
She is healthy and actively moving in mummy's tummy...

BUT, mummy also found out that she has a low lying placenta,
which is covering the cervix completely....
(sigh.... we only could hope that the placenta would move
UPWARDS in the later part of pregnancy....)
At the mean time, mummy is taking life easy,
by not carrying heavy stuffs and walking around too much.....
Perfect excuse to laze around to BLOG!!
kekekekekeke....
Mummy also has anaemia....
That explains why mummy has been feeling so tired lately....
hmm.... so mummy, be good....
take more HEALTHY food with good source of iron....

That's about it....
Time for PINK, PINK and still PINK colored shopping!!

ChatterBox @ 14 Months.....

I LOVE phone conversation....
Make pretend a phone conversation are also
a whole lot of FUN for me.....
Mummy thinks that I am still not able to hold a conversation,
as she couldn't understand all my baby talk.....
BUT, hey mummy.... these gibberish sounds are refered to as
"jargon" by professionals....
It has the same rhythmic patterns and inflections as spoken english.....
Now, Look who's talking!!

Baby talks that mummy understands:
papa: which means daddy
mum-mum: Favourite phrase when I see FOOD
mama/mee: which means mummy....
arh: which means dog... (the barking sound of a dog.....)
( it largely depends on my mood to use these phrases!!)

I am walking better now....
BUT, I still refused to hold mummy's hand when I walk....
Especially in shopping centers....
Hey, you can't blame me on this one....
I am an Apprentice Shopaholic, under mummy's guidance!!
I know what I want!! (tell me what you want, what you really, really want)

I could squat to pick up toys,
and get up into a standing position without any trouble.....

I love cars and things with steering wheels!!
I think it is a guy's thing.....
These toys are so much fun to play with....

I could put shapes into the sort out shape toy....
Provided mummy point to me where the shapes are located.....

I could stack buckets and blocks.....

I could throw a ball....
BUT, sometimes still miss cue....
Let go of the ball before i throw it.....
so it ended up behind, rather than in front of me!!

I also enjoy pushing pails and boxes around the house....
and filling them with things as I go by....

Woah... What an accomplishment!!

Baby On The Way @ 18 weeks.....

That's baby on the way at 18 weeks.....
Mummy's morning sickness was easing off....
And she did not feel any movements from the baby YET.....
(Being a second pregnancy....
Mummy should have felt the movements ealier....)
so she got worried about the baby's development
and visited the doctor's office....
It all turned out that the baby was FINE....
The baby even kicked it's legs while the doctor was doing the ultrascan....

Sigh.... Parents....
They worry about everything.....
Thank GOD for good friends that mummy has,
(You know who you gals are....)
who has been listening, and listening,
and STILL listening to mummy's worries....
YOU have made my mummy's day a BETTER day!!
Thank you for listening patiently!!

Merry Christmas!!

Mummy says that Christmas is a season for giving and receiving....
Caring and Sharing....
This is my second Christmas, I think I enjoy it better this time round....
Coz, I get to open presents on my own....
How cool do you think that is?!?
Mummy also reminded me to think about the less fortunate people
in other parts of the world who might not even know that it is Christmas....
Let's pray and hope that the world will be a much better place
with peace and harmony with no fighting and no war....
with abundance food so that people won't grow hungry....
Let's pray and hope that next Christmas
will be a better Christmas for everyone around the world.....

Baby On The Way @ 15 weeks.....

Mummy has been experiencing sharp pain in her leg recently....
It has gotten so bad at one stage that even getting out of bed is an agony!!
This has affected mummy pretty badly....
What used to be 10 mins walk to the nearby mall turns into a 30 mins walking agony....
We had to see the doctor earlier to find out what was WRONG!!
Doc. Chong explained that the baby's weight or position
might have pressed onto one of the nerves
which has affected mummy's ability to walk.....
Sigh, and there was nothing we can do other than to wait for baby to start moving....
Baby is growing well....
And daddy finally able to make heads and tails of the ultrascan... (kekekekeke.....)
We could even see baby constantly moving his/her arms and legs,
and attempting to suck his/her thumb....
We still could not make up the baby's gender (no 100% confirmation)....
But, Doc Chong said..."I dun see anything in between YET...."
hmm.... Does that means I am getting a mei mei?!?

Homemade Tang Yuan

Wondering what are all those colourful tiny balls?!?
Those are Tang Yuan....
It is made with LOVE, aka homemade Tang Yuan.
For the first time in mummy's life,
she tried making these delicious dessert on her own....
of course it is under careful supervision from grandma....
The tang yuan turned out GREAT...
But the amount of hard work mummy puts into it?!?
She thinks it is easier if she gets her favourite
sesame filling tang yuan from the stores...
But, it is definitely a great activity for everyone to get together
and bond while making tang yuan!!
We had tang yuan for Dong Zhi,
let's hope that the coming year brings greater joy and laughters!!

On the Road AGAIN (KL)......

Dun ya think it is fun to get piggy rides from everyone at Mid Valley Mall in KL?!?
I had piggy rides from daddy and Winnie che che....
They were such sports.... So much FUN!!
The Chirstmas lightings were beautiful!!
Everyone was having FUN hanging out together....
The adults even had a 3 hours long Karaoke session....

Lei Cha in PUCHONG

This is another delicious food recommendation, by dai ku jiong....
The word "Lei" means grind. "Cha" means tea.
Lei Cha is a poppular Hakka dish made of tea leaves, herbs, sesame and nuts.....
It is truly a healthy, yummy, tasty treat!!,,,Especially after last night's super duper seafood meal of chilly crab, cheese crab, crab with salted egg yolk & pepper crab!!
Daddy and Grandma both had 2 BIG bowl of rice each!!
Try it on your next trip to KL!!
The store's name is Por Hor Lei Cha at Puchong....

On the Road AGAIN (Genting)......

The car engine roared as we were crawling up the steep hills....
Daddy wind down the windows for us to enjoy the cool breeze....
Brrr... sooo cold!!
Thank God, daddy got me this
Reebok tracksuit from New York.....
I am feeling so much warmer now.....

This is my first trip to Genting....
Grandma and Kimpo went to
a Gaming Centre called "CASINO".....
Blink.... Blink.... All the flashing lights were so tempting....
I wonder if there are any televisions inside?!?
Maybe Baby Einstein, Hi-5 OR Barney was on?!?
Mummy says that kids are not allowed and we have to find our own gaming centre elsewhere.... *pout* So that was why mummy and daddy had to hang out with me.... It took us a long time to find the Indoor Theme Park as the sign were poorly displayed!! When we asked for directions, people pointed us to everywhere else BUT the Indoor Theme Park!! When we finally found it, a middle aged man tapped on daddy's shoulders asking if he would like FREE tickets to a magic show.... Being suspicious to the word FREE, daddy asked why he was giving out those tickets.... That uncle told daddy that he had too many tickets.... and could spare some..... Daddy saw the perfect opportunity to kill some time while waiting for the adults, so he accepted the tickets.....
we walked around the theme park.... It was jam-packed like sardines.... Mummy even had problems pushing the pram around.... Everything in the theme park was bright and cheerful.... Many interesting things caught my attention especially, the roller coaster above us. 'Mummy? When will I be old enoff to ride on one of those?!?" I hope that it will be real soon....
The magic show started at 3pm.... It was more like a musical and a magic show. The show lasted for an hour, I was patient enoff to watch 1/2 way through the show.... and the other 1/2, daddy had to carry me aside to pacify me as I was getting rather grouchy & tired.
.... Anyway, it was a Nice Show, especially the showgirl who disappeared under the box & EMERGED AS A WHITE BENGAL TIGER!!....holy smoke!
As soon as we were done with the magic show, grandma called daddy to tell him that they were ready to go..... We met up with the adults outside the CASINO.... Grandma was grinning from EAR to EAR.... She has won some money!.... YahooOoooooOOOooo.....
Yummy, it's time for a great meal!! Grandma's treat!!

On the Road AGAIN (Ipoh)......

Did anyone missed us while we were gone?!?
We went on a road trip AGAIN....
13 December '06 till 21 December '06
Singapore-Johor-Ipoh-Genting-KL-Johor-Singapore
BUT, the sad news was.... We didn't take much pictures,
as mummy's camera decided that it came his time to retire!!
(that darn camera broke down on us in the beginning of the trip!!
lucky, we had mummy's sony ericcson phone camera
(k800i) to "tong" for the rest of the trip.)
Sigh... so i guess this blog will be picture-less for quite sometime...
till we get a good deal and a perfect camera!!

We picked up grandma from JB,
and poor daddy had to drive 6 hours all the way to Ipoh....
Despite the temptation of all the sleepyheads sleeping in the passenger seats....
Daddy drove on and on till we reach Ipoh.....
Daddy, you beri tok gong leh!!

A CUT ABOVE THE REST
Apart from eating, and eating and eating those fabulous food found in Ipoh,
One other thing you have to do is to have a haircut!!
NO KIDDING!! That is always on daddy's TO DO list in Ipoh.....
We visited daddy's favourite hairstylist Andrew Ong....
As usual, Andrew gave daddy a GREAT leng chai haircut.....
Mummy thought that it is about time for my haircut as well....
as everyone on the streets refered me as jie jie or mei mei,
despite mummy's great effort to dress me in BLUE coloured clothings and PANTS!!
BUT, since my previous 3 haircut were terrible experiences for me.....
it gave mummy the jitters to put on the GREEN light for another haircut.....
Finally, mummy gave Uncle Andrew the go ahead to make me
a handsome boy i once was
from my messy, untidy long hair....
Uncle Andrew asked" Do you prefer layering or crew cut?!?"
"Layering!!" my mummy exclaimed, "We can save all the crew cut for army!!"
You wanna know how it went?!?
I was chuckling throughout the haircut...
And now I look as charming as daddy....
Thumbs up Uncle Andrew!!

My First Chinese Wedding Dinner

Auntie Juliet is getting married today....
Mummy promised that we are going to have good FOOD and good FUN.....

Mummy is a little nervous as this is the first time I am attending a 10 course *ahem* long winded chinese wedding dinner....She is afraid that I might fuss after the first course and demand to be carried round or worst still demand to run around the banquet!!

Well, it wasn't as terrible as what mummy has imagined. At least I stick my butt to the high chair till the second or third course of dinner. The most scary part of the dinner was when everybody stood up and shouted Yarrrrrmmmmm Seeeennnnng.... I just stayed butt stuck down on my high chair, seeing everybody bringing up their drinking glasses, screaming.... Yarrrrrrmmmm Seeeennnnnng... They did it not once, not twice, but three times.... I was extremly puzzled!! I even got a nightmare when I got home.... Mummy sys that we are staying away from wedding dinner for quite some time..... (",)
