We celebrated mummy's birthday at Vivo City.....

1st stop to mummy's favourite japanese restruant;

Aji by Hanabi

delicious yummy japanese buffet,

and I get to eat my fill for FREE!!

Then to coffee beans, to rest and relax one corner...

Then to Häagen-Dazs.....

Mummy had New York Brownies....

with "chocolate chocolate chips" and "cookies and cream" ice cream

The lovely warm taste of browines still lingers in mummy's mouth!!

Thumbs up!! MUST TRY!!

Finally, Food Republic food court for toast box's

mee siam and traditional kaya toast for dinner.....

What a happy happy belly for mummy's happy happy birthday!!

Asian Banana Cake & Pineapple Tarts

Being a devoted taoist,

Daddy usually have offerings of

apples, oranges, pineapples and bananas for the Gods....
on most of the 1st and 15th of the lunar month....

Many times, these fruits were given away,

as we cannot FINISH them ourselves....

But this time round,

Mummy made some really yummy treats from the fruits.....

Another of Mummy's 1st attempt:

If you get to know mummy long enoff,

you"ll know that she is a pefectionist FREAK in tiny details....

Daddy commented that our pineapple tart's filling

(the ones we made in Alice jie jie's place)

has no OMPH!!

So, instead of the usual prepacked fillings,

Mummy made the pineapple fillings from scratch!!
It was worth all the effort, It really tasted BETTER....

Way BETTER!!

The only problem was....

Mummy SUCKS at cutting pineapple!!

She looks like she was wreslting with the pinapple!!

Let's hope practise makes perfect!!

catering for punggol residence "needs"....

As a new estate, I often see many new parents,

with adorable babies and children hanging around this mall.

BUT..... The down side about this mall is that there is NO nursery,

even simple task like changing diapers is a BIG PROBLEM....
as, I personally feel that the toilet

where there is diaper changing facilities are SUPER filthy!!

Okay.... let's stop bitching about the terrible mall.....

Make you dip into water, which is 35-37 degree celcius,

and massage you in the water.....

Personal Mini LCD television playing kid's central....

BUT... None of all these gimmick works for Hiroshi...

He was bawling throughout the haircut!!

It's my wonderful cousin; Alice jie jie who is pregnant....
She would be due in November.....

PINEAPPLE TARTS!!

Mummy has not made pineapple tarts for donkey years!!
But, thank god, she still have not lost the touch of making

delicious, melt in your mouth,
pineapple tarts to satisfy Alice jie jie's craving....
It was so much fun making these yummy treats together!!
We should do it for Chinese New Year next year!!

strolling around the pool side with our traditional lanterns.......

Mummy's camera went out of batt,
so did not manage to capture any kodak moments of me carrying a lantern.

Nevertheless, it has been a wonderful day out with my cousin, Alden.

Busy Busy Bee

Mummy promised to make mooncake for my school's
mooncake festival celebration....
and she got busy the whole day yesterday,
24 hours later.... 92 pieces of mooncakes were churn out!!
What an accomplishment!!

Studio Pictures (nbyn)

Oh well.... It was such an experience at nbyn.....
(naughty by nature)

Mummy received a phone call last week regarding this FREE makeover,
and the promise of 2 FREE pictures on a CD ROM by this company.....
Having a feeling that she has got nothing to lose, Mummy went for it....

We were greeted by friendly "personal" consultant.....
And when I say personal, I really meant personal!!
This so call personal consultant follows through your shoot with you.....
Duties include, making us feel at home, playing with me and mei mei,
guiding us to the make up rooms, costume closets and the studios,
trying very hard to make me smile.....
which of course at the end of the day....
TRY TO SELL US SOMETHING!!

let's cut the long story short,
I'll say that the studio looks extremely professional,
In fact, everybody in the studio looks professional....
From the consultants, to make up artist, to photographer....
and even the pantry auntie.....
BUT.... the catch is,
at the end of the day....
they are trying to sell you a package of "PRIVILEGES"
ranging from $3000 to near $4000.....
(they even worked out an installment plan..... Oh, how BRILLIANT!!)

As they were busy trying to impress us with the `Privileges'...
I thought this was what I heard....which was quite puzzling to me
as their cantonese seemed to have some strange abbreviation!

Enlightenment: Missy Donut

Each time I am at Vivo city, I'll see a super duper long Q.....
All Qing for DONUTS!!
I really don't understand what makes this donut so outstanding,
that people are willing to Q for it....

I was out with Ivy....
Then she asked, " Have you tried Missy Donut?!?"
I said NOPE!!
Dun want to be part of the national hobby; Qing!!
Then she said.... "eh, now no Q leh... Go buy and try lah!!"

Since there wasn't a Q.....
I decide to try it for myself.....
Gotten a box of 6 at 6 bucks....
that make 1 buck for each donut.

After sinking my teeth into the donut....
I felt it brought me back to my childhood....
where i am just happy having donut with sugar toppings....

Time flies, now donut comes with all kinds of attractive toppings....
BUT, TASTE wise?!?
Nothing EXCEPTIONAL....
(Just my personal opinion!!)

Mummy intend to bake me cupcakes
for my 2nd birthday coming up in November....
You might ask.... So what is the BIG DEAL?!?
The BIG DEAL is.....
Mummy has NEVER, EVER, baked anything on her own!!
(let's not even talk about frosting on cupcakes!!)
The last time she did any baking was under careful supervision
from the home economic teacher in secondary school....
It's a BIG Brave step for mummy to take on!!
And..... SHE MADE IT!!
(Think the frosting part need some improvement....)
On the overall, the experience was pleasant....
Daddy complimented that the cupcakes tasted nice, and they really look PRO!!
Mummy, You have 2 more months to make it look even more PRO!!

We took a train to HarbourFront Mrt Station....
From there, we took another train from Vivo City to Sentosa.
It only cost us $3 for each adult!!

Everything was so convenient and pram friendly!!
Even buses could lower it's step to accommodate prams and wheelchairs...
*thumbs up* Great place for family outing...

mei mei gets to go with mummy as I have school for the day.

Claudia, Dr chong's nurse commented that

mei mei is filling up fast with baby fats,

and that she is such a sweetie.....

Mummy's Hunt for the Day:

Mummy found this Mutton Nasi Bryani at the cafe at level 3.

(apparently, it's the staff canteen!!)

The achar is crunchy and nice.....

It's a yummy treat..... Cheap too!!

$2.50 for a meal which include either jelly or fruits....

This was what happen when I refused to heed their advice....

BOTAK, but still a HAPPY mei mei.....

The one with HFMD.....

Fever did not subside....

It became a low grade fever in the morning.....
Nevertheless, mummy decides to bring me to the doctor.....

Since daddy had to work this morning,

Uncle Ray and Auntie Crystina came to help....

We reached the clinic slightly before 9am....

Which is the normal opening hours of the clinic.....

But, there was already a Kiasu Q forming outside of the clinic!!

Boh bian loh.... Wait, wait and wait loh!!

We went to get MacDonald's breakfast while waiting....

Mummy got me hotcakes happy meal with apple juice.

I refused to touch any of the hotcakes.....

(which was pretty worrying for mummy,

as I used to be very excited when I see hotcakes.....)

I only wanted the apple juice.....

During breakfast, mummy saw a blister developing on my hand.....

then she went.... "oh SHIT! Dun tell me it is HFMD!!"

Uncle Ray: Nah, it might be just a pimple. Stop scaring yourself!!

Mummy: *checking for more blisters* It looks like HFMD!!

Uncle Ray: let the doctor confirm it.....

Then... to the doctor we went.....

Sigh..... upon examination, CONFIRM, CHOP, GUARANTY...... HFMD!!

There were multiple ulcer on the palette of my mouth,

(that explains my food rejections,

even to all time favourite like ice cream and Ice Cold COKE!!!)

blisters were found on my hands and feet.....

High fever was part of the symptoms of HFMD too!!

I am excused from school for 7 days.....

And I need to return to the clinic to get a "Fit for School" letter from the doctor!!

What arse luck!! Why has it gotta be ME?!?!?

Oh........ Please Ti Gong.... Let me Get well soon!!

The nation is celebrating it's 42nd birthday.....
Happy Birthday Singapore....
BUT, I am simply not happy about it....
Well, I am not the typical complain and complain Singaporean....
But, I tell you hor, this time round I really need to complain loh!!
When the nation is happily celebrating it's birthday
with beautiful fireworks....
I am running a high fever....
and when I say high.... I really meant HIGH!!
It was so bad that my face was flushed red
even without stealing mummy's blushers!!

Since it was National Day,
Our trusty PD; Dr Lilian Lim was not open for that day....
Mummy had to call the emergency hotline to ask for her advice.....
Dr Lilian advice mummy to give me paracetamol every 4 hourly.....
and if fever still persist, visit her in the clinic tomorrow....

My poor parents had to watch me around the clock.....

to make sure that my temperature doesn't hit the roof top!!

Daddy even sponge me with COLD water,

to make sure i am not overheated.....

Dun you think I have the BEST parents around?!?
