Happy Birthday Kitson Honeybear!!

After the kids came along,
our birthdays has somehow dwindle into a less elaborate affair.

However,
this year was slightly different.
*SURPRISE*
We HAVE company!

A Big Monster Thank You
to everyone that came,
and for that
wonderful yummy mango cake
from
CAKE AVENUE!

Since it was Kitson's 45th birthday.
We had to do something significant!
Something that the birthday boy had never done in his 45 years of life!

-The Excited Prawning Virgin-
I swear this prawning thingy is addictive!
Kitson is already looking forward to his next prawning trip!

I'm the veteran here.
Prawning does bring me many wonderful memories of my late father
and my only sister who is 6 years my junior!

That's a very contented Birthday Boy.

Happy Birthday Honeybear!
Wishing you Great Health, Abundance Wealth & Everlasting Happiness!!

PoPArtLicious @ Punggol Waterway

We're sorry that this space has been neglected.
I'm oiling and cranking up the engines
to keep this space as updated as we are.

PoPArtLicious @Punggol Waterway
it's where you'll find the largest community music festival.
A 5-hour music festival
featuring over 35 performances by local and community artists

Sometimes,
You just can't deny how much (and fast) kids grow!
Sophia still paddling on her baby tricycle

Hiroshi looking forward for some outdoor fun!

Sophia and the wonderful Beaver family from PoPArtlicious

Another art installation at PoPArtLicious

Life is a constant adventure when you have 2 wonderful active kids!!!

Strangely,
both kids were not interested in the heavy music blasting away,
nor the rojak varieties of flea market happening.

The overcrowded water play seems to be the ONLY saving grace to this event!
Since it was an impromptu outing,
we return home with 2 happy but badly exhausted dripping wet kids.

 On the overall,
it was a great day out.
Will definitely return for more water play fun!!

Never Underestimate your Child

Back Posting: 5th March 2012

It was definitely a day that I hope
I'll never have to deal with as a parent.
Sophia fell and ended up
with a gash on her chin.
(which requires stitching at the children's hospital)

I swear that she darn brave for her age!
We were given the choice of either
general anesthetic or local anesthetic
for the procedure to be carried out...

She underwent the whole procedure with only local anesthetic.

Total of 4 stitches done!

I had to promise her the sky and everything else
to keep her mind off when the doctor was stitching her up....
This was me fulfilling one of my promises.
I've got no idea why....
But McDonald's Happy Meals always makes kids Happy!

The day that I wasn't looking forward to.
Removing the bandage
and applying antibiotics cream to the wounded area.

Stitches still in tack,
but look at that beautiful smile!
Celebrating Goddess of Mercy Birthday at Waterloo Street

14.03.2012
Brave Sophia had her Stitches taken out!

I am thankful that the whole episode is over.
And now we'll just have to let the wound heal on it's own
keeping our fingers crossed that there would not be any scaring.
Mentally or Physically.

SmartKids Asia 2012

16th March 2012 - 18th March 2012
Singapore Expo Hall 5

SmartKids Asia is truly one of the world's biggest  Educational Kids' Fair.
Fun-filled family event where there is something to do for everyone.
A place where kids discover and experience educational stimulation
and mind-expanding fun through exciting interactive activities
put together by 200 leading multinational
and local organizations.

We spent the whole day hanging out at the event.
And even when it was time to go,
Hiroshi wouldn't wanna budge.

Let's see how much fun he was having!!!

Rock Climbing by Climb Asia
($6 for 10 minutes/ $9 for 15 mins)

I guess it's a boy thing,
this was the ONLY thing he wanted to do when we got to the fair!!!

Hiroshi assisted by the professional instructors
from Climb Asia.

The instructor is very very encouraging!!!

The smaller wall on the opposite side is FREE to climb and equally as exciting for him!

Smart Hygiene by Dettol
Interactive 4 station game
where we learn the 6 steps hand-washing habits
to fight against nasty germs in our environment.

And of course there were many other fun activities happening for Hiroshi,
but I was equally too engross to even remember
whipping the camera out to "catch" the moment!

Disney Junior: Mickey's Space Adventure

Many thanks to
Georgina from T\PR
and
Mai from Disney Channels Southeast Asia
for the kind invitation to the exclusive screening of
Mickey's Space Adventure.

The Singapore Science Center seems the perfect venue
to launch off a space adventure
with Disney Junior's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

As the kids counted down for take off with Mickey and friends on the Clubhouse rocket,
The rest of the mummy and daddy bloggers were busy catching up
and enjoying the delicious light refreshment provided.

There was magic in the air.
A roomful of quiet kiddies get drawn into the screen.
As they look for hidden treasure,
and explore the Moon, Mars and the Ring of Saturn.

The verdict was unanimous.
All our kiddy space adventurer gave the new show
a 5 star ratings with 2 thumbs up!!

Sophia's contented smile after going on an astronomical journey
with Mickey and friends on the Clubhouse rocket.

Catch the premiere of
Mickey's Space Adventure
on 20th February, Monday
at 1pm
on Starhub Cable Television Channel 311.

After the event ended,
the young space adventurers were encouraged to explore
the Singapore Science Center
in hopes of finding their very own space rocket to commandeer....

And guess what?!?!?

WE DID!

We landed in planet Tesla Coil
with Sophia playing as Master Yoda
with her green lightsaber
*rolling on floor laughing*

That was definitely a great space adventure.

Once again,
Remember to catch the premiere of
Mickey's Space Adventure
on 20th February, Monday
at 1pm
on Starhub Cable Television Channel 311.

London - 23.12.2011 (day 3)

Finally the whole jing gang arrived,
(aunt, cousin Juliet, & cousin Joanne)
after a one day delay
from a technical glitch from Qatar Airways

Other than diamonds,
I think OUTLET shopping is girl's next best friend.

We are heading to Bicester Factory Outlet to shop our hearts out!

Quite frankly,
I've never shopped with my bunch of cousins.
And quite honestly,
I am not a shopaholic at all!

I am still reeling in SHOCK
that these girls can really shop their hearts and wallets out!
*grin*

London - 22.12.2011 (day 2)

Thank god couz Jacqueline was there.
Couldn't have done this much without her around!!
Since Couz Jacqueline was our London Tour Guide.
All we had to do was to just follow blindly.
*ROFL*

M&M World
(Leicester Square)
I am not ashamed to say that I am an autocrat when it comes to the children's diet.
Candies, Chocolate & Ice Creams
are considered bonuses rather than daily rights of individual!

The only type of candies that are deem acceptable are Vitamin Gummies.
Nothing more,
Nothing less.

So,
This is definitely a rare treat for the kids

Apart for Disneyland,
I think this would be the 2nd happiest place in the world!

Even the Gloomiest weather in London could brighten up
from all the colorful and cheerful M&M character displays.

There was all these huge cylinders filled with M&M's in a multitude of color.
  Absolutely Amazing!
Both kids were overjoyed with their pack of M&Ms
with the London Guard M&Ms Dispenser.

Now that we have 2 happy kids,
it is time to see the rest of London!!

Next stop,
London Eye.
Did you see that empty capsule on the London Eye?!?!?
Apparently, according to Couz Jacqueline,
it dropped off!
Yikes!
Would be pretty scary to go on a ride like that!

However,
a bit of probing around the internet proves otherwise.
They are actually revamping and renovating
the London Eye one Pod at a time!!!
Phew!
The ride is still safe!

Another Merry-go-round at the Christmas Market
This is definitely cheaper than the ones at Hyde Park!

The Famous London Phone Booth

I have a picture exactly like that too!!!
Taken about 10 years back!

Trafalgar Square
(Don't even ask how we got the kids up there!)

This was taken right outside one of the museum.
Can't really remember which one.
The only thing I remembered was
the sign by the side saying that the horses might BITE!
That's young Couz Jacqueline with Hiroshi.

Another great landmark you can't miss.
The Big Ben

Palace of Westminster
(The Houses of Parliament)

That was really the maximum amount of sight seeing in one day
before the kids starts complaining.

But of course,
We have the perfect solution to sooth complaining kids.

Hemleys
The biggest toy store in London!
I am ever so grateful that Couz Jacqueline was with us!
Because the crowd is just completely
INSANE!!

Both kids are contented once again with their Christmas presents

Then it was meeting up with an old friend.
Momoko,
a nov. forum mummy that has been relocated to London for work.
The kids instantly hit off like lost lost friends
while the adults catch up
over dinner.

The Rainforest Cafe

Extremely long day for myself and the kids.
Time to hit the sack and look forward for more tomorrow.
