Singapore Expo Mother & Daughter Cheong Sam Competition Finals
Looking Great for Finals
(Sophia is looking sleepy... Nap time lah!)
Cheeky Sophia & myself
AFTER the competition!!
*she kept saying BYE BYE to everyone*
The Cheong Sam I was wearing had great sentimental values
It was the same cheong sam I wore
for my customary wedding.....
The only difference is that
the zipper seems to glide up alot easier 4 years ago!!!
I've put on 13kg over the last few years....
The weight is evenly distributed
to the front, the back and the TUMMY!
So, I guess in motherhood,
you gain some you loose some....
I've GAIN a loving husband, and 2 very attractive kids.....
and, I've LOST my "skinny like pole" figure.....
The good news here is
I gain more than I loose!
But, I am not too bothered about that,
As long I am living,
HAPPY & HEALTHY....
I am thankful
and I count my blessings!
Unfortunately, We did not get to win anything at all...
Nevertheless, it was a great learning experience
for Sophia & myself.....
We rewarded ourselves
with Ice Cream at Swensen, Changi Airport

Singapore Expo Mother & Daughter Cheong Sam Competition
For the FUN of it,
I joined the Mother & Daughter Cheong Sam competition
organised by Singapore Expo.....
The competition was stiff....
Every Mother & Daughter team were AWESOME!
Some even look like professionals in the business!!
These are the gong gong newbies...
Sophia & Myself
~ON STAGE~
I was pretty amused by my ice princess,
she just stood stuck rooted onto the stage....
with a million of pair of eyes staring back at her!
She had No expressions AT ALL!!
She isn't even BLINKING!!
Thank GOD she didn't bawled!
Oh we even get to meet some "famous" Comedian!!
Abigail is one of my favourite comedian!
Her first appearance was in the sitcom Under One Roof.....
Her script still runs at the back of my head!
"Why is my tea so salty one?!?"
For those who forgot what happened in the sitcom....
She apparently CRIED into her cup of tea!!
So what if she is UGLY,
and her life story seems like it is one tragedy after another....
She makes me LAUGH!
She is HILARIOUS!!
YOU RAWK ABIGAIL!!
Erm.... Anyone know the name of this comedian?!?
All I know is that he is dead funny too!
But, I just can't put a name to that face!!
And finally,
the moment of truth
~

And if you happen to be just around that area.....
Do drop by....
We need your moral support!
*giggle*
Hiroshi was snoring away after the competition...
Poor boy....
His eyes must be tired from looking at so many pretty girls!!

Is it still Christmas?!?
We all know that christmas is long gone....
But, Sophia is still stuck with the festive mood....
She kept insisting on wearing her christmas hat!!
*duhz*
Hiroshi is just amused that
Sophia is STILL wearing her Christmas Hat,
despite strange stares from passerby!
Tonight's Dinner
It's been quite sometime since I "decorated" the kids' food....
and since I was in the mood,
I did this.....
tofu with mince meat, chestnut, carrot and topped with prawn
white rice with furikake
Xiao Bai Cai with Oyster sauce
I've been extremely busy with spring cleaning
for the coming Chinese New Year!
And I am pleased to say, the kitchen is finally cleaned!
But, the rest of the house still looks like we are living in a dump!
Oh God,
Please send me a Fairy God mother to help me with this mess!

I WANT MY ABALONE!!
I saw this sign board at SPC near my place....
I couldn't resist.......
And I had to steal a shoot with the EX Large abalone!!
And I instigated Kitson to get silly with me!!
As you can see Kitson is a far better actor than I am!
This picture constantly reminds me of a scene from Kung fu Panda!
Where Po was fighting with Master shifu
for his bao during Kung fu training!
*Just for laughs*

Hiroshi; Made in China.....
I was still hunting hard
for a cheena meena traditional outfit for Hiroshi
and I finally found it at Metro!
Hiroshi was have a great time with this hat!
It even comes with a cute lil pig tail!
Simply adorable!
Unfortunately, We didn't get it since
Kitson said with the hat we are over doing
the whole traditional outfit!
But I still like it!
How often can you wear such a hat without looking silly?!?!?
(I still wanna get it!!)

Family day at Vivo City.....
Yes! Vivo City is our favourite hangout.
Because it covers from one end of the MRT line to the other....
(Punggol to Habourfront)
I love it because I do not have to scramble for seats!
OR
take nonsense from people who refused
to move further into the middle of the cabin
OR
Kiasu Kiasi people who pushes me over!
I truly love it when
I see the bright happy smiles on my kids' face
when they are at the water play area!
And best of all
it is FREE entertainment!!
I am a little disturbed by the image below....
Pictures are taken outside St James Power House...
The bins are obviously obstructing the emergency exits!
Sign on the left says:
"No refund will be entertained"
wahahahahahaha....
that's why, we always need to read the fine prints!
Hiroshi off to send his truck load of tiger beer

New Look for 2009
I am not a person that constantly updates the way I look.
Especially when it comes to hair styles!!
I am boring and predictable!
(and not to mention....
it was freaking EXPANSIVE too!)
I was a little skeptical on how it will turn out this year!
But since Ivy was with me I thought alright...
Let's take the plunge....
I totally
LOVE THE NEW LOOK!
On a side note, Ivy hates hers!
and We had the same stylist!

Same School, Just Different Uniform.....
Hiroshi has to put on the Big Boy's Uniform this year
since he has been promoted to the nursery classes....
So no more rolling his favourite yellow truck all day long....
It's all going to get serious
and there is work to be done!
He has grown so much!

First Post of 2009.....
YES!
I am still ALIVE!
~and so is this blog~
Since this is the first post of the year,
I wanted it be something news worthy....
Something worth starting off the year 2009 in a good note!
So.... anything news worthy means
we got to wait till something news worthy happens....
And that happens to be today!
Hiroshi tries something new in the playground....
Look at what my SumSeng Sophia is up to now.....
Runs back for more (-o-)"'
-Dries quickly, rinses and wrings easily!
-It doesn't stain like ugly cheapo cotton kitchen cloth I used before.
In fact stains are easily washed off
with a couple of gentle rub and dish washing liquid.
-Microfiber with sharp pie-shape edges lifts,
traps and absorbs for easier and faster cleaning.
It cleans my oily stove like magic!
No more crazy scrubbing!
2. Magiclean Kitchen Cleaner
I think this is 4 bucks....
Just spray this on any surface....
and wipe clean!
For tougher stains leave it on for 5 minutes.....
easy peasy lemon squeesy!
I am a true believer in finding the right tools to do the right job.
This allow us to be more time efficient,
so that we can have more time
for other much more important things,
like our spouse and kids.....
Happy Cleaning!
