Week 5 Homework

Instead of the usual 2 pages of homework,

Hiroshi came back with 3 pages....

*slap forehead*

But, he did great this week!

No Stress on me at all!

Keep it up my son!

The letter "i" seems to be chicken feet for him

since he writes it everyday in his name!

Told Hiroshi to imagine the letter "J" were fish hooks

and they are off to catch Big and Small fishes....

This one is Hilarious....

Told Hiroshi BIG "K" got BIG Mouth,

and Little "k" got small mouth.....

He caught it at once

and wrote like a PRO!

I am praying for the teachers to be merciful on my lil boy.....

Stay with 2 pages of homework lah!

It kinda rubbed off with the kids I guess....

My mother-in-law method of preparing petai

would be splitting the pods in halves

to eliminate the chances

of having extra worm protein in her diet....

I've always found this process time consuming and redundant

as I always do not find anything out of the norm

in the petai I buy until today!!!

I found not 1 but 2 juicy worms hanging inside

the comfortable zone of my petai pods!

*puke*

But at least the good news is that my vegetables

are not potently laced with pesticide!

Since the worms are still interested in my food!

I split my petai pods into half length wise,

coz I felt that they taste crunchier cooked this way....

Week 4 Homework

I just lost my cool on this week's homework!

Hiroshi had problem writing the letter 'r'!

Thank God Kitson was at home to take over for awhile!

I must admit that it actually did helped to cool me down

and regain my poise!

In the end I came out with a mnemonic chant (口诀) ;

First down then up the coconut tree

and then up comes the rainbow!

Well, surprisingly, it did work!

He was writing the letter 'r' like a PRO thereafter!!!!

p/s: I do have mnemonic chants for some other alphabets too!

Do let me know if you are interested to learn them....
